James Coppola

Managing Director

Jim is a former Director of CFA Institute and was most recently the Head of Institutional Investor Sales and Relationship Management in the Americas. He worked with many of the world’s largest and most sophisticated Asset Managers, Pension Funds, Institutional Investors, and other Financial Institutions advising them on some of their most complex challenges. This included improving investment processes, managing risk, and developing strategies surrounding FinTech, ESG, Sustainable and Impact Investing, and Diversity and Inclusion.

Prior to CFA Institute, he spent 20 years in Capital Markets and Banking building new businesses and product solutions globally. This includes 12 years in Asia Pacific, where he built several capital markets and portfolio financing businesses for Citibank and Natixis, and advised regulators on a wide range of market infrastructure development.

Coppola earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, cum laude, from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where he concentrated on Economic and Political Development. He also completed Harvard Business School’s Investment Management Workshop.
